Media BBC Newcastle Visit

   These are the lighting for the studio. They are over 150 lights which are going to be set in the same way for each show.                                        Its now all controlled by computers

This is the news TV presenter Colin Briggs giving us a summery on todays news. He has an audio que which is a scroll of the all the words he says and its controlled by a pedal with his foot

This is the BBC Newcastle TV studio. Its a big glass panel that can change the background for different TV shows.

We went to have a tour round BBC Newcastle.

We seen the BBC news room and met one of the news presenters Colin Briggs.

I think working at the BBC would be totally exhausting because of getting up early hours and working throughout the day. Staff work at the bottom and work their way up and they need qualifications.

I thought the visit was interesting but we could of seen more.
I would of wanted to see the editing suite.

Photoshoot-Planning

I'm planning to do a photo shoot for my arts award project and this is a listed stages of planning. 

1. Hardware; DSLR Camera 
2. Models; Kaddy D,allo, Tony Johnson, Kane Saville and Chloe BroomField.
3. Location; Middlesbrough College, Temenos.
4. Software; Photoshop, Safari and Internet.                                                      

Part 1- Planning.  I need to finish all stages of the planning.

Part 2- Produce a poster to advertise for models.

Part 3- Produce a time to book the models.

Part 4- Get models and book a time when they're available. 

Part 5-Get a time and place that everybody involved is available.

Part 6- Book the equipment.

Part 8- Do the photo shoot.

Part 9- Create a contact sheet and pick the best ones.

Part 10- Upload the best ones and the contacts sheets on to my blog.

Part 11- Upload them on to padlet for feedback off my peers.

Part 12- write up an evaluation on the project.

Fashion Photography

I would like to look and explore more in to Fashion Photography, the models and the photographers to learn how they do it and gain experience of my own.   www.vogue.co.uk <-- example of professional photographers are ones that work for vogue magazine.
Cosmopolitan is also another good example of fashion photographers based in magazines.  http://www.cosmopolitan.co.uk/fashion/

They aren't just magazines they photograph, they also do fashion shows/shoots, they have models in professional photography studios.  They work for fashion designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Stella Mccartney, Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel and Alexander Mcqueen. 

Edited Film

I got a short film to edit. I cut off some of the film and selected certain scenes out of the film to shorten the film completely.
I selected the parts were he  was waiting for the bus, the bus arrived, the female got off the bus, he touched her cheek and then he kissed her.  I called it "The Horrible Kiss.        

I liked editing the film and Im sure I will do it again

Exploring Photography

I took pictures using marco mode on a camera and I tried to take a close up picture of the image.  I also created an account and uploaded my images on to Photobucket.
